The Delta Airlines web site allows users to hold an award reservation before finalizing travel plans and change an award reservation that has not yet been finalized. It is also possible to retrieve a previously held award reservation to redeem or change the reservation.
Instead of waiting on hold while an agent is trying to search for available award flights, Delta SkyMiles members can now search for and book their own award tickets online. A big time saver, especially if you are trying to get a ticket to a popular vacation destination!
