Qantas launches Jetstar, a new low cost airline in Australia

Jetstar Airways, launched by Qantas in May 2004, makes visiting Australian destinations more affordable.

Operating out of Melbourne Avalon Airport, the new airline flies to 14 destinations within Australia.

Jetstar’s fares start from $65 one way Sydney-Melbourne Avalon and $95 one way Brisbane-Melbourne Avalon. Reservations can be made online at www.jetstar.com, or by calling 13-15-38, but there is an extra A$10 fee.
