By the Travel Editors at VacationIdea.com, Last Update: Jun 22, 2004
Beginning June 28, passengers will be able to fly non-stop from New York to Singapore on Singapore Airlines, the world’s longest non-stop commercial flight.

The flight aboard Singapore Airlines' A340-500 aircraft will take about 18 hours in each direction, four hours less than the existing flights with one stop on the way. Read more about the new A345LeaderShip aircraft.

The airline will continue to operate the daily one-stop service via Frankfurt, but will discontinue the service via Amsterdam.
