Near Bernardus Lodge, you will find many of the Monterey Peninsula's well-known attractions, including Carmel Valley Village, beaches and art galleries of the Carmel-by-the-Sea, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the Point Lobos State Reserve, a wildlife sanctuary two miles south of Carmel. The dramatic coastline of Big Sur is also just 23 miles south of Carmel.
