Brampton Island is a tropical island vacation destination comprised of a national park, seven sandy beaches, and its own coral reef. The island is located in the Cumberland Group of Islands, 20 miles north-east of Mackay at the entrance to the Whitsunday Passage.

The island offers a wide variety of activities, including fishing, coral reef snorkeling, sailboarding, archery, aqua aerobics, tennis and national park walking trails. Most of the vacation activities on Brampton Island are free.

The resort has two swimming pools, including a beachside seawater pool overlooking the ocean. You can indulge in a soothing massage at the 'The Soothing Beat,' Brampton Island's massage and body therapy room, or enjoy a cocktail at Aqua Bar.

The hotel has 106 guest rooms. If you want to be right on the beach, reserve one of the Premium Ocean View Rooms which have a private sun lounge and offer views of the island.

Three meals are served daily at the Bluewater Restaurant. Once a week, the restaurant serves a seafood buffet once a week as well as beach barbecues. Aqua Bar serves drinks, smoothies, fresh juices, coffee and snack food. The bar also offers nightly entertainment.

Regular flights are available from all Australian capital cities to Mackay (MKY) daily with Qantas and Virgin Blue. Marine Helicopters to Brampton Island depart Mackay Airport daily except on Christmas Day. The scenic flight takes 15-20 minutes and costs around 94 Australian dollars per person one way.
