Crosskate Inc. has released its new 616 Backcountry skates which allow you to skate rough terrain and climb up hills with ultimate mobility and breaking control. Skiers can now ski down their favorite trails all year long. The Crosskate 616 model features rugged 10" air-filled mountain bike-style tires, a unique steering system and a comfortable boot.

How Does it Work

616 Backcountry skates use patent pending technology to make skates easily maneuverable. A unique PowerCarve steering system allows users to carve turns as they lean, a concept similar to using shape skis on snow. On rolling and uphill terrain, Crosskate Backcountry skates can be used to skate or diagonally stride, a motion analogous to cross-country skiing. On downhill terrain, you can employ the skates' specialized disc brakes.

Pricing and Ordering Information

Visit the Crosskate web site at www.crosskate.com or call 1.877.CROSSK8 for a list of dealers. The Crosskate 616 skates retail for US $570 at Rei.com and the Crosskate 616 Backcountry Boots cost US $125. You may also need additional accessories.
