The San Juan Islands are accessible by ferry or by seaplane. One-way airfare from Seattle for two passengers is around $200 in the summer; and around $75 in the off-season. Companies offering air transportation include Kenmore Air Seaplanes (866-435-9524), NW Seaplanes (800-690-0086) and West Isle Air (800- 874-4434). The flight from Seattle takes 45 minutes.
If you are traveling by car, drive to Anacortes. The Washington State Ferry provides an 80 minute scheduled service from Anacortes to the San Juan Islands.
