Forget about packing food or camping gear - the Canyon Market & Deli sells BBQ kits which include everything you need: food, cooking utensils, firewood, matches, paper plates, silverware and napkins. The Canyon Kitchen serves gourmet meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The campground features 100 cabins equipped with full bathrooms, linens, towels and kitchenettes. Interiors are decorated in earth tones and include down duvets. Each cabin has a private picnic table and a fire pit. If you are planning a romantic getaway, try the Creekside King Cabin which features a Jacuzzi tub.
El Capitan Canyon is surrounded by 3,500 acres of pristine nature, a state beach and El Capitan Creek. Guests can choose from a number of year-round activities, including spa services, yoga, whale watching, botanical hikes, ocean kayaking and surfing lessons. During the summer months, enjoy concerts featuring live blues, jazz and bluegrass.
El Capitan Canyon also offers classic safari tents built on raised wooden decks. Tents are provided with bed linen, towels and camping lanterns, while toilets and hot showers are located in the nearby buildings.
A two-hour drive from Los Angeles, California, the campground is a great weekend getaway from the city.
