The design for the 20-room Goldener Hirsch Inn which opened in 1990 was inspired by the world-renowned Hotel Goldener Hirsch in Salzburg, Austria. The inn, prestigious Relais & Chateaux organization, features charming European-style rooms, a cozy lounge, and an elegant restaurant. Whether you are looking to ski in the winter, or enjoy the outdoors in the summer, the Goldener Hirsch is a great romantic getaway and a honeymoon vacation idea.
The Goldener Hirsch Inn is located on the ski slopes, offering ski-in, ski-out access to the slopes, and a ski valet service. The inn features in-door and out-door hot tubs, sauna, and sun decks.
The guest services coordinator can arrange restaurant reservations, spa or massage services, sports and recreation, and other guest requests.
Winter activities in Deer Valley include skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing through the beautiful back woods of the Wasatch Mountains. Guests can also enjoy romantic sleigh rides and attend the Sundance Film Festival which takes place in January.
During the summer, the area offers numerous vacation activities, including fly-fishing, mountain biking, hiking, golf, horse-back riding, hot-air ballooning, and the Park City Arts Festival. Park City, Utah, features numerous shops, art galleries, movie theaters, and Utah Olympic Park.
The 20 guest rooms and suites are individually furnished with hand-painted and hand-carved furniture imported from Austria. Guest accommodations feature a king-sized bed, Frette linens, a humidifier, and luxurious down comforters. Most rooms have private balconies and wood burning fireplaces.
The restaurant at the Goldener Hirsch Inn is overseen by Executive Chef Jean Louis Montecot, named by the James Beard Foundation as one of the top hotel chefs in the U.S. The restaurant serves contemporary Continental and American cuisine, and offers an excellent selection of fine wine.
In the winter, the Goldener Hirsch offers apres ski food, drinks and live entertainment in the lounge adjacent to the restaurant.
