VacationIdea.com Vacation Tip
Try to visit the Napa Valley during the week to avoid crowds in tasting rooms and on the road, especially during the peek season between May and October.

Best Time to Go & Getting There
The peak season in the Napa Valley is May to October, with average high temperature around 82 degrees F. Although many more wine tastings are conducted during the peak season, wineries often offer tasting events in the off-season as well. If you go then, you can expect better room rates and fewer crowds.

The Napa Valley is about an hour and a half drive from San Francisco. The valley stretches about 30 miles from the City of Napa in the south to Calistoga in the north. The Harvest Inn is located in the center of the valley. There are two main roads, Highway 29 and the Silverado Trail. The Silverado Trail is more scenic and less busy.
