Although over 100 years old, Hotel Eden in Rome offers all the comforts of a luxury vacation hotel due to its extensive renovation completed in 1992. The hotel is popular with celebrities such as Pierce Brosnan, Nicole Kidman, Robin Williams, Uma Thurman and Spice Girls who make the hotel their base on their Italy vacation. The hotel offers a private fitness center, two bars, including a piano bar, and a restaurant with great views over the city. The best room in the house is the newly opened Le Penthouse suite on the hotel's top floor. Measuring 2,150 square feet, the suite has two bedrooms, two marble bathrooms, a reception room and a study. The master bathroom, overlooking Villa Ludovisi, was created in a style reminiscent of the baths of ancient Rome.
The hotel restaurant La Terrazza dell'Eden is situated on the sixth floor and offers great panoramic views of Rome. The head chef Enrico Derflingher was the personal chef of Princess Diana and Prince Charles from 1987 to 1990.
The hotel is located near the Spanish Steps, and surrounded by the green parks of the Ludovisi, Borghese and Malta Villas.
