Located at the base of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast, the Mount Washington Hotel is a year-round playground for outdoor enthusiasts. The Bretton Woods Mountain Resort offers 88 downhill trails, a ski school, equipment rentals and clinics. Or you can try Nordic skiing and snowshoeing on 100 km of groomed trails in the Bretton Woods Valley and the White Mountain National Forest. Snowmobiling rentals and hundreds of miles of interconnected trails are available in the area. The Nordic Center offers ice skate and snow tube rentals.

The best way to experience the serene winter atmosphere in New Hampshire is to take a scenic horse-drawn ride on the grounds of the Mount Washington Hotel.

In the summer, visitors can go horseback riding, swimming, hiking, fly fishing, biking. There is also golf, tennis, racquetball, volleyball and badminton. Families can take advantage of various programs for kids.

The resort offers the 18-hole Mount Washington Course, designed by the famous golf architect Donald Ross. The golf club includes the Cornish & Silva 9-hole Mount Pleasant Course, a 300+ yard driving range and 18-hole putting green.

The Mount Washington Hotel has two restaurants. The formal Dining Room is decorated with crystal chandeliers and offers live music dancing. Stickney's Restaurant & Lounge serves casual lunch and dinner with indoor and outdoor seating. Guests can also dine at several other Bretton Woods Mountain Resort restaurants.
