The Ojai Film Festival became an annual event only four years ago. This year, 2,000 people are expected to attend. The festival is scheduled to open with a free public screening in Ojai's outdoor Libbey Bowl on Thursday, October 23, 2003.

The festival will feature three days of film screenings at local auditoriums, the Ojai Art Center and the Ojai Playhouse Theater. Films will include documentaries, narrative features, short and animated films. More than 50 films are presented each year.

Visitors can purchase a range of tickets and passes. The "All-screening pass" which costs $80 provides admission to all screenings and guarantees priority seating (the pass holder must arrive at least 15 minutes before the film is shown). There is also the "All-festival pass" for $100, a "6-pack pass" for $35, and individual screening tickets ($7) which go on sale 15 minuted prior to the screening.
