Village of Pinehurst, North Carolina

Pinehurst Resort is located in the southern Sandhills of North Carolina, sixty-five miles south of Raleigh.

Why Go

The Pinehurst offers a classic golf experience with eight great golf courses and a new full service health spa. The resort's famous No. 2 golf course was the site of the 1999 U.S. Open Championship and the future site of the 2005 U.S. Open. The eight golf courses offer great variety in layout and difficulty levels. If you are up to the challenge, try the No. 2. or the No. 6 course.

Whether you are starting to learn golf or trying to polish your game, you can take lessons at the Golf Advantage School at Pinehurst. Instructors work with each student to improve their putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, full swing and specialty shot skills. Open golf clinics cover other aspects of the golf game, including ball flight, rules and etiquette, uneven lies and physical fitness.

After a round of golf, get pampered at the health Spa at Pinehurst, opened in April 2002. The spa is a 31,000 square foot facility with 28 private treatment rooms, a lap pool, steam, sauna and a fitness center. Treatments offered at the spa incorporate native plants from the Sandhills region, including holly berry, magnolia, pine, sand and clay. Choose from body and skin treatments, massage therapy and hydrotherapy. For an ultimate indulgence, rent one of the six spa suites, designed for couples or small groups. Each suite has a relaxation lounge with access to two or three private treatment rooms.

Resort Rooms & Food

Guests at the Pinehurst can choose from a range of accommodation options, including the Carolina hotel, the newly-restored Holly Inn, the Manor Inn, four-bedroom Villas and Condominiums. The hotel offers shops, a fitness center, meeting space, a pool, the Carolina Dining Room and the Ryder Cup Lounge.

The Villas are located on the grounds of The Carolina and can accommodate four to eight people. The Condominiums, located on the shores of the 200-acre Lake Pinehurst, offer one to three bedroom units with kitchens and living rooms. On-call shuttle service is provided for condo guests to all resort amenities.
