Spend a romantic weekend at the Taj Boston, a grand hotel overlooking the Public Garden on fashionable Newbury Street. This Boston Landmark hotel is within walking distance of the Theatre and Financial Districts, elegant shopping at Copley Place and the Hynes Convention Center.
When the hotel opened in 1927, it was modelled after The Ritz hotels in Paris and London.
Taj Boston provides its guests with the highest quality service. One of its newer offerings if a Fireplace Butler. The menu of firewoods includes cherry wood, birch, oak, and maple wood.
The hotel has 12 floors that house 273 guest rooms, including 40 suites with wood-burning fireplaces. The new Winston Churchill Suite, reupholstered in his favorite red color, contains a Yousuf Karsh-signed archival portrait photograph of Churchill.
Guest amenities include 24-hour room service, twice-daily housekeeping service, complimentary overnight shoeshine, evening turndown, complimentary morning newspaper, European toiletries, Bath Butler and Technology Butler services. The hotel has an on-site fitness center and is adjacent to the Sports Club/LA Boston, a 100,000 square foot spa, fitness and sports complex.
The Lounge offers panoramic views of Boston, where Club Level guests enjoy five food and beverage presentations daily.
The public areas of the hotel are furnished with original works of art, antiques, prints, and classic furnishings.
Children are welcomed at Taj Boston with specialized amenities, such as a Children's Suite furnished with infant toiletry items, and children's coloring book menus in all restaurants. The Children's Suite features tot sized furniture, an entertainment center, arts and crafts center, toys and games.
The landmark Cafe has windows overlooking Newbury Street and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vintage photos of famous guests decorate the walls.
The Bar at the Taj Boston serves classic cocktails, martinis and a light dining menu.
