Written by VacationIdea.com Travel Editors.
Vietnam with its diverse population of fish and coral is becoming increasingly popular as a scuba diving vacation destination. Evason Hideaway at Ana Mandara in Nha Trang just opened a PADI dive center, making it easier for travelers to go scuba diving on vacation.

Nha Trang Bay features 398 species of hard and soft coral, as well as colorful reef fish, lionfish, nudibranch, and other marine life. The water is warm year-round, great for snorkeling as well as scuba diving.

Eco-friendly Diving
The Dive Shop was constructed from renewable local materials and has been working with the Marine Protected Area Authority in Nha Trang to extend the existing Marine Protected Area. The resort participates in clean-ups of the surrounding reef and other local initiatives.

Diving Classes
The dive center offers a full range of PADI courses for beginner and experienced divers, including Discover Scuba, PADI Scuba Diver, PADI Open Water, PADI Advanced Open Water, PADI Rescue Diver, PADI Divemaster and Assistant Instructor.

Rates for PADI courses start at US $325 per person; individual dives from US $50.

Kids eight or nine years of age, can sign up for the Bubblemaker course.

Trips are offered to exclusive dive sites off the nearby islands and the Marine Protected Area of Hon Mu.

When to Go
Plan a scuba diving vacation between Februay and October since diving is not always possible during the rainy season.
