Hawaii Beach Vacations
The Sheraton Waikiki is a large beachfront hotel on Waikiki Beach. The hotel has a small stretch of beach and two pools, one for children. There is a patch of shade in the pool area for guests who get there early.
Hotel Beach
The beach in front of the hotel can be used during low tide when the ocean recedes. It's usually quite busy with children and sunbathers, like the rest of Waikiki Beach.
If you want to learn to surf on your beach vacation, waves are generally bigger in the summer, but still just one to six feet high. In the winter, the surf is usually under two feet.
There are no lifeguards on duty at the hotel beach.
Food and Cocktails
A snack bar is open from early in the morning until late at night. Cocktails are available from mmid-morning. Poolside Grill is the place to go for lunch if you want to stay close to the beach during the day.
