Written by Vacation Idea.com Travel Editors.
Infinity, placed in service in 2001, is one of the newest ships in the Celebrity Cruises fleet. The ship can accommodate 1,950 guests and sails in Alaska, Hawaii, and the Panama Canal. The ship features a casino, conservatory, cinema, theater, a health spa, and other public rooms.
AquaSpa SM is a 25,000-square-foot facility with 16 treatment rooms and a fitness center. Treatments offered at the spa include manicures, facials and a range of massages. At the fitness center, guests can hire a personal trainer, and swim in the resistance swimming pool.
Infinity features a two-story-high conservatory, a unique botanical environment designed by Emilio Robba of Paris. The conservatory was created to give guests the opportunity to admire flowers while enjoying a refreshing drink, or collect their own bouquet.
Guests can dine in the main restaurant or in one of the ship's specialty restaurants. Celebrity's specialty restaurants offer tableside cooking, carving, and flambe, and feature a wine cellar with over 175 premium labels from around the world.
Infinity's SS United States specialty restaurant serves an entree first served in the dining room onboard the original SS United States cruise ship during the 1950s: Roast Long Island Duckling a l'Orange Stuffed with Fruit. The restaurant is decorated with glass panels from the SS United States cruise ship.
The ship has one indoor and two outdoor pools, two indoor and four outdoor whirlpools. The Sports Deck has a full-size basketball court, compact football, paddle tennis, and volleyball. The Sunrise Deck has a golf simulator, jogging track, and shuffleboard.
