Cruise in the heart of provincial France aboard one of the five luxury barges operated by French Country Waterways. The elegantly furnished barges can accommodate only eight to 18 passengers, providing an intimate cruising experience in France.
Vacationers can choose from various itineraries in France: Burgundy, the Upper Loire Valley, Champagne and Alsace-Lorraine. Cruises last six nights and depart on Sundays from the end of March through October.
The barges have a feel of a country inn, featuring warm wood paneling, comfortable sofas and chairs, books, games, and music. Each vessel is fully air-conditioned, with individual controls in every stateroom.
In 2004, all-inclusive cruise rates range from $3,295 to $4,795 per person, double occupancy.
