Crystal Serenity is the latest addition to the Crystal Cruises fleet. This luxury ship set sail in the summer of 2003. It has a guest capacity of 1,080 with 548 staterooms and 13 decks.

The ship measures 68,000 gross registered tons, 820 feet in length and 105.6 feet in width.

Guest Staterooms
There are nine guest decks on the ship and 85% of the 548 staterooms feature a verandah. The Four Crystal Penthouses with verandah are the most luxurious, measuring 1,345 square feet in size.

All staterooms have a sitting area, Internet access, closets with shoe rack, queen or twin-sized beds, refrigerators with complimentary bottled water and soft drinks. Private verandahs are available in 85% of the rooms. Guest bathrooms have a shower, bathtub, double sink, makeup mirror and a telephone. Luxury amenities include Frette bathrobes, slippers, and Aveda bath products.

Family Vacation aboard Crystal Serenity
For family vacationers, Crystal Serenity offers 20 connecting staterooms and 75 staterooms with a third berth for families.

For kids, there is Fantasia children's center and Waves teen center area. The Studio is a learning center offering creative and educational hands-on classes.

Public Areas
The cruise ship has a Library with 2,000 books, videos, DVDs, and books-on-tape, Bridge Lounge, 10,420-square-foot Galaxy Lounge and a shopping arcade. The two-story Crystal Plaza and Crystal Cove is a lobby area with atrium, seating and piano bar.

For those who like to gamble, Caesars Palace at Sea® casino has slot machines, bar poker and slant top poker machines, blackjack tables, craps, a roulette table, and a baccarat table.

Other lounges include the Stardust Club for dancing and cabaret, Avenue Saloon cocktail and piano bar, Connoisseur Club cigar lounge, Palm Court/Sunset Bar observation lounge, and Pulse disco.

Dining Areas
If you don't want to leave your room you don't have to with Crystal Serenity's 24-hour complimentary room service. But if you do, options abound, from afternoon teas in the Palm Court and themed luncheon buffets at the pool to open kitchen dining, Italian and Japanese cuisine.

Health and Fitness
Crystal Serenity has a fitness center, two Wimbledon Courts for paddle tennis, Promenade Deck for walking and jogging, an outdoor lap pool with two outdoor Jacuzzis, Sports deck with a golf driving range, putting green, a shuffleboard court, and table tennis.

The 8,234-square-foot Crystal Spa was designed according to Feng Shui principles to provide a relaxing environment. The salon handles hair styling, manicures and pedicures.

Entertainment
There are a variety of shows to choose from aboard Crystal Serenity, including a 50's theme show, cabaret, Repertory Theatre at Sea, Forever Plaid stage show, a harpist and/or cocktail pianist, a classical music artist or ensemble, dance instructors. There is a full orchestra in the Galaxy Lounge, a six-piece dance band, and a strolling trio.
