Norwegian Cruise Line

Written by VacationIdea.com Travel Editors.
Norwegian Cruise Line introduced the Freestyle Cruising concept in 2000, offering its passengers a more relaxed, resort-style cruise vacation option. The idea was to offer people more flexibility and more non-intrusive service. The cruise line now offers extended hours in the main restaurants, alternative dining options, resort-casual attire every night, and new shore activity options.

Norwegian Cruise Line operates nine large ships and sails to over 140 ports around the world and in the U.S., including Miami, Seattle, Vancouver, San Juan, Boston, New York, Honolulu, and Lahaina. Norwegian Star is the only ship offering a seven-day round-trip itinerary from Honolulu to the Hawaiian islands of Oahu, Hawaii, Maui and Kauai.

Norwegian Cruise Line was inducted into the Confrerie del la Chaine des Rotisseurs, a prestigious international gourmet society which promotes fine dining and pleasures of the table. The cruise line offers a wide variety of dining choices, including traditional, French, Italian, and Asian cuisine. Following the philosophy of Freestyle Cruising, the cruise line allows passengers the freedom to dine whenever, wherever and with whomever they choose.
