Bay of Fires Walk

October marks the beginning of the warmer season in Tasmania, Australia, and the perfect time to head on an outdoor adventure. Experience Tasmania's pristine nature, scenery and wildlife on a four-day Bay of Fires Walk along the coastline.

The trip includes several hours of walking on three of the four days, and one day of relaxation at the Bay of Fires Lodge. You'll do about 4 hours of walking on the first day and 7 hours on the second, therefore comfortable shoes are a must.

Activities at the Bay of Fires Lodge
The third day of the trip is spent at the luxurious Bay of Fires Lodge which was built in harmony with its surroundings. The lodge employs environmentally-friendly technology such as roofwater collection, greywater treatment systems, composting toilets and energy-efficient solar power, to help preserve its natural setting.

During your stay at the Bay of Fires Lodge you can go kayaking along Ansons River, a haven for birds and other wildlife.

Outdoor Adventure Details
The Bay of Fires Walk costs $1,595 AUD per person. A backpack and Gore-Tex jacket are provided for your use during the walk. The season runs from October through early May. Find out more about the Bay of Fires Walk, how to get there, and browse images.
