The Broadmoor Hotel
A year-round destination for family vacations, the Broadmoor means 3,000 acres and 700 rooms of vacation fun. Golf, tennis, swimming, horseback riding, hot air balloons, and a spa facility are available at the hotel.
Bike, walk or go horseback riding through the foothills of the Cheyenne Mountains. Bike rentals are available at the pool by the lake, the concierge can help you create an easy walking itinerary, and the stables are located 20 minutes from the hotel. For kids, the Broadmoor Stables can arrange led rides on smaller animals. The whole family can enjoy the views from the lake on a four-person paddleboat.
The Broadmoor has two tennis clinics for kids; "PeeWee" drills hour and Junior Tennis Camps. The Junior tennis camps are multi-day clinics for kids up to high school age. The resort's 11,000 square foot infinity edge pool has waterslides, a children's pool, two 14-person whirlpools, 13 cabanas and a new pool café.
The resort has a child activity program called the Bee Bunch. The Broadmoor Bee Bunch program is a seasonal program that offers half day, full day, and evening camps for children ages 3 to 12. The Hotel also offers babysitting services but you need to call at least a week in advance to ensure the availability of a sitter. Call the Broadmoor Children's Concierge at 1-800-634-7711, ext. 5160 to make reservations for the Bee Bunch program or a babysitter.
