Why Go
Tenaya Lodge in California's Sierra Nevada mountains is especially attentive to its younger guests. Kids have their own check-in station at the front desk where they sign in and pick up an activity packet.
There is a playground area for kids near the hotel which has a sand box, swings, slides and monkey bars. During winter, there is sledding, innertubing and other winter activities.
Camp Tenaya
Camp Tenaya is a supervised indoor and outdoor activity program for children 5 to 12 years old. Vacation activities include nature hikes, arts and crafts, games, movies, music and storytelling.
Camp Tenaya is offered on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the year. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the program is offered seven days a week.
Family Vacation Activities at Tenaya Lodge
Ride the Sugar Pine Railroad into the Sierra National Forest and enjoy Western cookouts featuring BBQ dinner, campfire singing and marshmallow roasting. The cookouts are available on spring, summer and fall evenings.
