Kiawah Island is a golfer's paradise with five scenic championship courses. The Ocean Course, home of the 1991 Ryder Cup and the 1997 World Cup, was designed by Pete Dye. The Ocean Course offers a 7,296-yard, par 72 layout that stretches nearly three miles along the Atlantic Ocean.
Osprey Point was designed by Tom Fazio; Turtle Point by Jack Nicklaus; Cougar Point by Gary Player; and Oak Point by Clyde Johnston.
The Kiawah Island Golf Academy offers a private instructional tee, practice green and bunker. There are also indoor/outdoor putting areas and a classroom.
