The Big EZ Lodge in Big Sky, Montana, is an exclusive western-style vacation gataway 45 miles from Yellowstone National Park National Park. The lodge is located at an elevation of 7,500 feet in the Madison mountain range in the Rocky Mountains, offering a great selection of outdoor activities.

Facilities at the Big EZ Lodge include a 26-person outdoor hot tub, croquet and bocci court, an exercise room and a game room with pool table, chess and board games.

Montana Vacation Activities

Summer and fall activities include guided river fishing, horseback riding, hiking and biking. The Big EZ Lodge has a 18-hole putting course, or you can play on the Arnold Palmer-designed Big Sky golf course.

There are two fully stocked trout ponds on the property, offering fly-fishing and lessons. You can also take a scenic gondola ride at Big Sky Resort in Montana or go rafting and kayaking. Kayaking lessons can be arranged for groups of three or more adults.

Winter vacation activities include downhill skiing 30 minutes from The Big EZ Lodge, cross-county skiing, horseback rides, dogsledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and even winter fly fishing.

Rooms & Suites

The lodge has 13 luxurious guest rooms decorated in western style, some with native river rock fireplaces and seating areas. Each room has a work area with wireless internet access, a speakerphone and voice mail.

If you want more space while on vacation, the Lone Star Suite is a separate residence complete with kitchen and living room.

Where to Eat

The Big EZ Lodge restaurant serves an innovative menu of high-end dishes. Wild game entrees are a specialty.

How to Get to the Lodge

Fly either to Belgrade/Bozeman or West Yellowstone airport, both of which are 45 minutes from the Big EZ Lodge. The lodge provides transportation to and from the airport. If you are planning to explore the area and visit Yellowstone while on vacation, you will need to rent a car. Take a scenic drive through Yellowstone or head to Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park.

Room rates rates start at $325 per night, including breakfast for two, on-site amenities, and on-site activities. The EZ Plan is also available and includes three meals daily (from $510 for two people).
