The Edgewood guest house is the most luxurious, featuring 3,500 square feet of living space with a wraparound deck, high ceilings, a 25' Chilton Limestone fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake. If you are planning a honeymoon getaway, Canoe Bay offers a package that includes a stay at Edgewood and all meals designed especially for you by the hotel chef.
Where to Eat
The lakeside Dining Room, located in the Inn, serves a prix fixe Chef's Menu that incorporates fresh seasonal ingredients and fine wines. The atmosphere is romantic, complete with candles and tables for two. The restaurant has a 3,000 bottle red wine cellar room with a private dining table.
How to Get to Canoe Bay
Canoe Bay is located six hours northwest of Chicago and two hours east of Minneapolis. If you are flying, the Rice Lake Airport can accommodated private planes and is located 30 minutes from Canoe Bay; otherwise the closest airport is Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport.
The Facts
Room rates range from $325 to $1,800 per night, including breakfast. A two-night minimum stay is required for Friday or Saturday arrivals. Chef's Prix Fixe dinner offered nightly ($65 per person), except Tuesdays when the Dining Room is closed.
Children and pets are not permitted at Canoe Bay.
