Fundu Lagoon is a luxury island vacation getaway located on the Pemba Island just off the African coast. This small resort, its beautiful beaches, world class diving, and relaxed atmosphere, provide an island vacation destination for couples or honeymooners looking for a romantic retreat.

The resort has a fully equipped PADI dive center and is surrounded by some of the best scuba diving in the world.

Rooms & Suites

There are fourteen bungalows, consisting of spacious tents, set under makuti (thatch) roofs on wooden decks and each with a view over the ocean.

The rooms are equipped with large double or twin beds, mosquito nets, ceiling and standing fans, and indoor and outdoor seating areas. Each has an ensuite bathroom with fresh hot water shower, toilet and basin.

The rooms are connected to the main buildings by sand walkways.

Where to Eat

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the main area or at the jetty bar with a three course lunch and dinner, some of the best cuisine to be found in East Africa.

How to Get to the Resort

To reach Fundu Lagoon you will have to charter a plane from Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar to Chake Chake airport on Pemba Island. Once you reach Chake Chake airport, you will be met and driven to one of two ports, from where you will be brought by private speedboat service to Fundu Lagoon. The Facts
Rates start at $260 USD for Ocean View/Beachside Rooms in low season; from $320 USD in high season.
