Hotels and Resorts in French Polynesia
There are many vacation destinations whose original charm and beauty become lost in the name of growth and development. This is definately not the case on Vahine Island in French Polynesia. The resort's remote location and limited accommodations ensure guest privacy and enable the staff to maintain a very high level of service. Resort activities include snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, and volley ball.
Enjoy a bit of adventure, rent a little motor boat and explore the lagoon and its "motus" (small barrier islands). Scuba diving is available in Tahaa or Raiatea, and deep sea fishing can also be arranged.
Rooms & Suites
Vahine Island has just 9 bungalows, three overwater "farés" (local style bungalows) on the lagoon, and six beach "farés."
Where to Eat
Vahine's restaurant serves food which is a synthesis of local and traditional Ferench cusine. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the restaurant. Lunch is also available on the beach. Try the Mahi Mahi steak, flavored with Tahaa vanilla, served with Igname (a local root vegetable) chips or the farm raised Chicken, stuffed with pota (a green leafy vegetable) and creamy curry and coconut sauce.
Things to Do Nearby
