Watch the Dancing Fountains of Bellagio
Written by Vacation Idea.com Travel Editors.
Why Go
The Fountains of Bellagio offer one of the best free spectacles in Las Vegas. Located in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, the huge man-made lake in front of the Bellagio Hotel comes alive with music, water and light.
More than a thousand fountains are choreographed to different musical pieces, ranging from classical and operatic pieces to popular music and songs from Broadway shows. Water jets shoot as high as 240 feet into the air and the water display spans more than 1,000 feet.
Depending on the music selection, each show lasts several minutes. Most performances are quite dramatic, somewhat like fireworks on the water. It's incredible to see how the music adds a whole new dimension to the performance.
When to Go
The most romantic time to see the show is at night when the lake is lit from
below. Show times are as follows:
Monday - Friday: from 3pm to 7pm every 1/2 hour; and from 7pm to 12am every 15 minutes;
Saturday & Sunday: from 12pm to 7pm every 1/2 hour; and from 7pm - 12am every 15 minutes.
This schedule may vary and the show is subject to cancellation if the wind is too strong.
