Las Vegas Vacation: Picasso Restaurant at The Bellagio in Las Vegas
Written by Vacation Idea.com Travel Editors.
The Picasso restaurant at The Bellagio in Las Vegas was named for a great painter of the twentieth century, Pablo Picasso. The restaurant draws its inspiration from the villages of the Mediterranean, featuring a beam and brick ceiling and gesso-covered burlap walls.
The restaurant decor consists of Picasso's paintings, ceramics, tiles and sculpture. Claude Picasso, the son of Pablo, designed the carpet and the furniture for the restaurant.
Before being seated for dinner, guests can enjoy a cocktail on the outdoor patio along the water's edge. The restaurant serves French-Mediterranean cuisine featuring master Chef Julian Serrano, the first Las Vegas chef to be honored with the James Beard Award for "Best Chef, Southwest." Serrano showcases his seasonal cuisine in two special menus: a four-course tasting menu and a five-course Chef's Degustation.
