Travel Distances
The Las Vegas Strip is several miles long and walking takes time. There are many bridges, walkways and other detours along the way, especially in the center of the Strip. Here are some examples of walking times along the Strip:
- From the Venetian to the Bellagio: 20 minutes
- From the Venetian to the Stratosphere: about one and a half hours
- From the Venetian to MGM Grand Hotel: around one hour.
Las Vegas Travel Tips
Bring a bottle of water when walking around Las Vegas, especially in the summer. Hotels on the Strip sell their own bottled water which is overpriced at $3 or more for a small bottle. There are two drugstores where you can purchase bottled water at regular prices: one near the MGM Grand and on across the street from the Sturdust hotel.
Rember to bring sunslasses when planing to walk outside in Las Vegas. The desert sun is extremely strong year-round.
