Kapalua and Kaanapali Resort areas on West Maui are very popular with vacationers. Both areas offer several hotels and resorts, beaches, golf courses, shopping and dining. In Kaanapali, vacationers can choose from moderately priced guest accommodations to luxury rooms, depending on the budget. There are numerous family-friendly activities to choose from.

Kapalua Resort offers two luxury hotels, guest villas and the famous Kapalua Beach where kids can play in the water.

Wailea is another popular resort area with a golf school, shopping, several beaches and a choice of luxury resorts. Polo Beach is great for families because of low surf.

If you are looking for a more secluded family vacation destination, stay at the Maui Prince Hotel in Makena. There are two beautiful golf courses, several secluded beaches, tennis and snorkeling.

Another great place to get away from stress and people is the Molokai Ranch. Families can stay at the Beach Village in one of the luxury tentalows, an upscale version of camping.
