Maui Snorkeling off Malu'aka Beach

Malu'aka Beach at the Maui Prince Hotel provides a great way to combine a day of sunbathing with snorkeling just off the beautiful sandy beach.
If you do not have your own snorkeling gear, you can rent a basic mask, fins and a snorkel from the Maui Prince Hotel beach activities cottage just steps from the beach. Snorkeling gear rental cost is $18 per day.
Swim out towards the black volcanic rocks on the south end of the beach and watch colorful fish feed near the coral. Yellow and blue tropical fish of various sizes swim right next to you if you are careful not to disturb the water with your fins. We even saw a sea turtle swimming just a few feet from us.
After exloring the bay under water, head to the Maui Prince Hotel for a light lunch next to the blue pool, surrounded by tropical plants.
