TKTS booths sell discounted tickets for Broadway, Off-Broadway, dance and music events. There are two TKTS booths in New York City - in Times Square and at the South Street Seaport in Lower Manhattan.

Since TKTS booths sell only same-day discount tickets (and next day matinee tickets at the downtown location only), there is usually a line. Tickets are made available throughout the day by participating theatres, depending on box office demand.

Tickets sold at TKTS booths are offered at a 50% or a 25% discount off regular prices, plus a $3 per ticket service charge. Payments have to be made by cash or a traveler's check. Available tickets are posted on boards outside the ticket windows.

The Times Square TKTS booth in Duffy Square at Broadway and 47th Street is open from 3pm to 8pm for Monday-Saturday evening performances, from 10am to 2pm for Wednesday and Saturday matinees, and from 11am to 7pm for Sunday performances.

The Lower Manhattan TKTS booth is located at the corner of John and Front Streets. This booth is open from 11 am to 6 pm, Monday - Saturday, for all evening performances. Matinee tickets must be bought the day before at this location only.
