The Woodstock area offers both downhill and cross country skiing. Suicide Six offers 23 trails, including two chair lifts, a J-bar and a snowboarding halfpipe. Downhill ski season runs from mid-December through March. Suicide Six is a great family ski destination since it is quite uncrowded.
Cross Country Skiing consists of 75 miles of groomed trails and the Woodstock Ski Touring Center which offers equipment rentals, trail maps and lessons. Cross country ski trails run along the resort's snow-covered golf course, the carriage roads on Mt. Tom and in the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park.
