Massage Therapy Services at the Claremont Resort and Spa

Written by VacationIdea.com Travel Editors.
Various massage techniques have been shown to help improve mental and physical health. Reasons for massage therapy being so effective are many, including increased circulation, relief of stress, and relaxation.

Massage therapy techniques include therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, aromatherapy, pressure point massage, reflexology, and other treatments. Every spa goer has a repertoire of personal favorite spa treatments. The first few times you visit a spa, you should discuss your needs and preferences with a spa therapist, and try different techniques to find your favorites.

The Claremont Resort and Spa offers a number of massage therapy services. Therapeutic Massage employs long strokes and kneading of the superficial layers of muscles to produce a relaxing effect ($112 for 50 minutes, $145 for 80 minutes).

Aromatherapy at the Claremont is a gentle massage which employs essential oils to increase circulation and induce relaxation. Clients can choose their favorite aromatic blend based on the desired effect: to relive tension, energize, or soothe aching muscles ($118 for 50 minutes). Deep Tissue massage combines a variety of techniques and is used to combat chronic muscle tension ($120 for 50 minutes).
