Sir Richard Branson loves Keyna (he was made a tribal Maasai elder in 2007). If you are a fan of his other properties, such as Necker Island, Ulusaba or Kasbah Tamadot, you will enjoy this 12-tent Kenyan wilderness camp located right in the path of the annual wildlife migration.
Mahali Mzuri is located in the Motorogi Conservancy, just north of the Maasai Mara National Reserve and about 240 km west of Nairobi. Year-round, guests will be able to go on twice daily game drives to observe wildlife. Things get particularly exciting during the annual migration.
Jon Brown, Managing Director for Virgin Limited Edition, commented: "We are very excited to announce that Mahali Mzuri will be open from this summer. It's a fantastic time to be opening as it coincides with the world-famous Great Migration so guests will have a front row seat! With such a beautiful and serene setting, Mahali Mzuri will undoubtedly offer a unique African experience like no other."
Resident guides at Mahali Mzuri will tell visitors about animal behavior as they accompany them on the daily game drives.
The luxury camp will accommodate a maximum of 24 guests at any one time. Rates start from USD $590 per person per night (based on double occupancy) and are fully inclusive of all meals, drinks & daily game drives as well as unlimited access to the Olare Orok and Motorogi Conservancies.
